MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON 8th OCTOBER 2025 AT 7PM AT CLLR. GRANTHAMS OFFICE.
Present: PC Simon Grantham (Chair), PC Clement Earl, PC Richard Scarborough, PC Jackie Morris.
Also present: Tracy Martin (Clerk).
1. Public Forum.
1.1. One resident attended.
2. Apologies for Absence.
2.1 PC Sarah Lawrence, PC Becky Shaw, PC Jonathan Pearson, DC Rob Kendrick.
3. Minutes of Parish Council meeting held on 10th July 2025.
3.1 The minutes were read and signed and confirmed as a true copy of the meeting.
4. Community Speed Watch.
4.1. Louise Jordan informed the Parish Council by email that she is stepping down as co-ordinator of the team. The Parish Councillors wanted to thank her for her input in setting up the team. New members are being sought and a new poster has been added to the noticeboard and website.
5. Play Equipment Inspection ROSPA.
5.1 The report is to be circulated to all Parish Councillors.
6. Moveable Speed Device High Street.
6.1 Speed reports have been downloaded from the SD by PC C. Earle. Data was discussed at the meeting.
7. War Memorial damage.
7.1 Wind damage from a falling branch has broken the cross off the war memorial. A quote is to be sought to reinstate it.
8. Progress and comments on digestor plant.
8.1 An update email was discussed from Dom Henry.
9. Change to .gov.uk/.org email by April 2026.
9.1 To be put in place by April 2026.
10. Planning Applications.
10.1 25/0994/HOUS- Removal of rear bay window, installation of patio doors and construction of first floor rear balcony. The Springs Digby Road Walcott. Circ 27/10
10.2 25/1218/TCA T1 - Horse Chestnut – Fell at 17 High Street, Walcott. Withdrawn
11. Financial Update.

13.1 An update from Bryan Gault was received and discussed. Still no decision has been made to move this on.
14. Date of next Parish Council meeting.
14.1 The next Parish Council meeting will be held on Thursday 15th January 2026 at Cllr Grantham’s office in Pinfold Lane at 7pm.
