MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON 23rd JANUARY 2025 AT 7PM AT CLLR. GRANTHAMS OFFICE.
Present: PC Simon Grantham (Chair), PC Jonathan Pearson, PC Clement Earle, PC Jackie Morris, PC Becky Shaw, PC Richard Scarborough.
Also present: County Cllr Rob Kendrick, Tracy Martin (Clerk).
1. Public Forum.
1.1. There were no members of the public attending.
2. Apologies for Absence.
2.1 PC Sarah Lawrence sent her apologies.
3. Minutes of meeting held on 10th October 2024.
3.1 The minutes were read and signed and confirmed as a true copy of the meeting.
4. Budget & Precept 2025/26
4.1 It was decided to apply for a 0% precept increase on residents Parish Council rates for 2025/26.
5. Anaerobic Digestor Plant.
5.1 Updates were discussed.
6. 20mph Speed restriction near school.
6.1 Highways are to be contacted to arrange a meeting to ask for the lower speed limit to be implemented.
7. Grass cutting programme.
7.1 It was agreed to stay with the same contractor for the next year.
8. Church mowing to be discussed.
8.1 The current arrangement is to be continued.
9. Planning Applications.
9.1 24/1130/FUL 30-32 High Street Proposed workshop/storage building – circ. 20/11.
10. Financial Update cheques written.

10.1 A VAT refund request was submitted for £1202.37 on 5/1/25.
10.2 New bank charges with Lloyds Bank were discussed at £4.25 per month. New accounts were discussed but none without bank charges.
11. Correspondence
11.1. LALC inv, subs 2025/26.
11.2 Resident, Village Hall car park light.
11.3 AFP – Update Dom Henry.
11.4 Clerks & Councils Direct – Jan 2025.
11.5 Resident, Large poppies for remembrance Sunday 2025.
12. Any other business to be discussed.
12.1 CABD Donation Request 2025. A donation is to be made of £50.
12.2 The large poppy request is to be discussed at July meeting. Resident to be informed.
13. Date of next Parish Council meeting.
The date for the next Parish Council Meeting will be held on Thursday 20th March 2025 at 7pm Cllr Grantham’s Office.
