MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON 24th OCTOBER 2019 AT CLLR GRANTHAM’S OFFICE AT 7PM.
Present: PC Simon Grantham (Chair), PC Jackie Morris, PC Richard Scarborough, PC Sarah Lawrence, PC Jonathan Pearson.
Also present: DC G Ogden, CC Rob Kendrick, Tracy Martin (Clerk).
1. Public Forum.
1.1 None.
2. Apologies for Absence.
2.1 PC Gillian Flatters, PC Graham Black.
3. Notes of the last meeting held on 25th July 2019 to be approved as minutes.
3.1 It was resolved to accept the minutes. The minutes of the last meeting were confirmed and signed.
4. Pedestrian crossing on the High Street meeting.
4.1 Cllr Grantham and CC Rob Kendrick updated the Parish Councillors regarding what was discussed at the meeting held in the Village Hall.
5. Defibrillator paddles (charge stick) – Village Hall.
5.1 It was decided to fund the cost of the new paddles. The Clerk to contact the Village Hall secretary.
6. Speeding through village.
6.1 An email was received from a resident regarding the speed motorists are travelling through the village. Fluorescent 30 mph signs and Village Gateways were discussed.
7. Play Equipment inspection report.
7.1 Warning ‘Do not climb’ signs are to be put up on the equipment after the inspection. Cllr. Scarborough to sort.
8. Catley Abbey poster.
8.1 Colour copies of the poster are to be done for the church. Cllr Grantham to sort.
9. The Smoot – Footpath issues.
9.1 An email was received from a resident complaining about the surface of The Smoot footpath. Cllr Grantham to contact the resident to discuss.

13. Any other business to be discussed-
13.1 A thank you letter is to be sent to Mr Maltby for his help in keeping the Catley Abbey car park in a good condition.
13.2 A visit to view Walcott bible is to be arranged at Exchequergate.
13.3 A village walkabout is to be arranged between Cllr Grantham and Rowan Smith, LCC Highways.
13.4 Potholes are to be reported to Highways in Grange Street.
14. Date of next meeting.
The date of the next Walcott Parish Council Parish meeting will be held Thursday 16th January 2020 at 7pm at Councillor Grantham’s office.
