MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON THURSDAY 25th JULY 2019 AT CLLR GRANTHAMS OFFICE AT 7PM.
Present: PC S. Grantham (Chair) PC R. Scarborough (Vice Chair), PC J. Pearson, PC G Flatters, PC G. Black.
Also present: DC G. Ogden and DC A. Sanderson, Tracy Martin (Clerk).
1. Public Forum.
1.1 None.
2. Apologies for Absence.
2.1 PC S Lawrence, PC J Morris.
3. Notes of the last meeting held on 9th May 2019 to be confirmed and signed as minutes.
3.1 It was resolved to accept the minutes.
4. To discuss tree in playing field
4.1 A letter is to be sent notifying Beeswax Farms of a tree that needs cutting back in the hedgerow adjoining the playing field.
5. To discuss Walcott Bible.
5.1 There is no news of the bible returning to the village.
6. Catley Abbey sign.
6.1 The new sign for the site was shown to the Parish Councillors.
7. Catley Abbey poster.
7.1. Copies are to be made of the poster and then framed.
8. To discuss house extension.
8.1 The extension to the property adjacent to the playing field is no longer going ahead.
9. To discuss hedge cutting at The Drift junction.
9.1 The hedge is to be tidied short term and a harder cut back is to be carried out later in the year.
10. To discuss school numbers and donation towards Playground resurfacing.
10.1 It was agreed to pledge £3000 to the ‘Friends of Walcott School’ towards funds already raised by them for the school playground to be resurfaced.
11. Financial Matters - Financial report and accounts for payments.
11.1 It was agreed to renew the Lincolnshire Fieldpath’s Association subscription at a cost of £5.00 for 2019/20.
11.2 It was agreed to renew the Campaign to Protect Rural England subscription for 2019/20 at a cost of £36.00.

12.1 19/0600/PNND Approval of Planning Application for proposed change of use of agricultural buildings to form 2 dwelling houses.

13.3 LCC – Rowan Smith Highways reply to email re repairs to Butt Lane/West End.

13.5 Audrey Wayman – Thank you letter regarding church donation.
13.6 LCC – Road closure notification Dene Lane/Butt Lane.
13.7 Resident – Re. Possibility of zebra crossing on High Street.
14. Any other business to be discussed.
14.1 The Church Warden has informed the Parish Council that the tree requires pruning that is behind the War Memorial. Cllr. Grantham to sort.
15. Date of next meeting.
The date of the next Walcott Parish Council Parish meeting will be held Thursday 17th October.
