MINUTES OF THE WALCOTT PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON 13th JANUARY 2022 AT 7PM AT CLLR GRANTHAMS OFFICE.
Present: PC Simon Grantham (Chair), PC Graham Black, PC Sarah Lawrence, PC Richard Scarborough, PC Jackie Morris.
Also present: Tracy Martin (Clerk).
1. Public Forum.
1.1 None.
2. Apologies for Absence.
2.1 CC R. Kendrick, DC G. Ogden, PC J. Pearson, PC R. Shaw.
3. Minutes of meeting held on 14th October 2021.
3.1 The minutes were read and signed and confirmed as a true copy of the meeting.
4. Precept.
4.1 It was agreed to increase the Precept to £6986.12 which will not change the residents contribution in 2022/23.
5. Gravel Hill Drove repairs.
5.1 Roads are to be made good on the diversion route cars were making during the recent road closure. Confirmed by Nick Marsh Highways.
6. Walcott School speed signs, Digby Road.
6.1 Signs and their placement are to be looked at by the Chair and the Parish Clerk.
7. Street Lights.
7.1 LCC are to be contacted regarding the need for footpath lighting for the path that goes through the playing field from Eastview to Castleview.
8. Village Hall Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
8.1 A donation is to be made to the Village Hall to help with the celebrations.
9. War Memorial.
9.1 The war memorial has been cleaned and the repairs to the wording and cracks have been carried out.
10. Additional Play Equipment for Playing Field.
10.1 Quotes are to be sought for a new piece of play equipment. The Clerk to sort.
11. Catley Sign.
11.1 The new information board for the site is to be looked into#
12. Planning Applications.
12.1 21/1142/RESM Erection of 3 dwellings and associated works land adj. to 11 High Street, Walcott -Approved.
12.2 21/1379/HOUS/ 22 West End, Walcott. Proposed single storey rear extension – Approved.
12.3 21/1537/FUL 4 High Street. Demolition of existing and erection of new building.
