MINUTES OF THE WALCOTT PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON 29th JULY 2021 AT 7PM AT CLLR GRANTHAMS OFFICE. (Date changed due to Clerk self-isolating).
Present: PC Simon Grantham (Chair), PC Jonathan Pearson, PC Sarah Lawrence, PC Richard Scarborough, PC Jackie Morris.
Also present: Tracy Martin (Clerk).
1. Public Forum.
1.1 No request from the public and none present.
2. Apologies for Absence.
2.1 CC R. Kendrick, DC G. Ogden, PC G. Black.
3. Minutes of meeting held on 20th May 2021.
3.1 The minutes were read and signed and confirmed as a true copy of the meeting.
4. War Memorial refurbishment grant.
4.1 A second quote its to be obtained. Cllr. Grantham to sort.
5. Picnic Bench at Catley Abbey.
5.1 A picnic bench is to be purchased for the site. The Clerk to sort.
6. Speed Activated device not working.
6.1 LCC Highways to be notified. The Clerk to sort.
7. Planning Applications.
7.1 21/0938/FUL – Walcott Farm, Digby Road, Walcott. Concerns were raised that the unit would be an additional unit and not a replacement. Planning to be contacted.
8. Financial Update. Cheques for paying.

10.1. The Village Hall are celebrating the Jubilee year 2022. PC asked to contribute ideas.
10.2. Weed killer to be purchased for playing field. The Clerk to sort.
10.3 Pete Langford to be asked to help with website. The Clerk to sort.
10.4 Suggest Walcott-Timberland’ Pads’ surface to be upgraded to cycleway. The Clerk to contact highways.
10.5 Potholes in Butt Lane to be reported via ‘Fix My Street’.
11. Date of next meeting.
The date of the next Parish Council Meeting is to be held on Thursday 14th October at 7pm at Cllr Grantham’s office.
